Minutes for WSC Board Meeting

City Hall

  1. Call to Order:  Nikki makes a motion to begin meeting at 8:16 pm, Petra seconds, ALL IN FAVOR
    1.  Attendance: Joe Bradley, Nolan Wallace, Clint Scott, Sarah Nicholas, Petra Se, Jonathan Berrong, Sarah Shulz, Shamus Moore and Chris and Nikki Schmitz

  1. Start of Meeting
    1. Review of previous minutes
      1. Sarah N. made a motion to approve previous minutes, Sarah S. seconds, All IN FAVOR
    2. Financial Review
      1. Current Balance $40,536.89 with registration
      2. Nikki makes a motion to approve the financials, Shamus seconds, ALL IN FAVOR
  1. Balances to be reviewed
    1. Balances
      1. OSA fees will be about $3,000
      2. Jersey fees will be about $3,000
  1. Spring 2022 Season
    1. Registration

        1. Late fees- in the future, we will charge a late fee
    2. Schedule
      1. March 5 (Weatherford), March 26th moves to April 2nd (Elk City), April 9th (Clinton), April 23rd (in house with the option of playing during the week)
        1. Checking with Elk to see if this works
    3. End of season tournament
      1. Trophy for 1st and medals for 2nd
        1. Hand out at a display area with a WSC banner/backdrop
          1. 208 medals (Jonathan will look into prices and order)
            1. approximately $10 each (trophies)
      2. Tournament Fees
        1. U6- $85, U8- $125, U10/12- $165
      3. Tournament Shirts
        1. Brandi Brown has volunteered to bring a heat press to put logos on shirts that we sell at tournament- possibly
  1. Referee Assignor

      1. If they ref and bring their receipt, we will reimburse
  1. Coach Education
    1. Coaches
      1. Board members reach out to teams in their age group for peer to peer coaching helps and tips
  1.  Website
    1. Add practice schedule to website
  1. Memorials

      2. Shadow Box with jersey w/name and number on back
        1. Suggestions
        2. Bench through El Reno State Penitentiary with name on plaque
          1. Include one for Dade Wilkerson
  1. Facility Safety Coordinator

      1. There are holes on the fields that need to be filled
    2. Goals
      1. Sarah S. makes a motion to purchase 2 new u8 goals, Clint seconds, ALL IN FAVOR
  1. Fundraising
    1. Jacob Robinson Homes, LLC and Weatherford Eye Care Center are interested in sponsoring with a banner
    2. All renewals have been mailed
  1. New business
    1. Late fee $25
    2. 3v3 tournament layout
