RECREATIONAL (U4 - U18)

The Weatherford Soccer Club Recreational Program provides an opportunity for all girls and boys, ages 4-18 to experience the game of soccer by providing an organized, well structured, positive, & enjoyable experience! Working with coaches to focus on teaching about character, sportsmanship, fair play, team work, winning with humility, losing with dignity, & the value of doing their best every time they get together.

FAQ'S

Season Registration Fee is $65 per player.  This covers expenses throughout the season like Referees, nets, field painting, supplies, and other needed areas to make our program great and to continue growing.
For our Spring seasons, practices will start after March 1st.  Your child’s coach will be in contact with you to schedule practices and make sure everyone is on the same page.  If you do not hear from your coach, please feel free to CONTACT US so we can make sure you are connected.

WSC ACADEMY (U7 - U10)

WSC Academy is a program designed to develop young players and give them the tools needed to play soccer at a more advanced level than recreational soccer. It is a program that aims to develop players for competitive soccer and it aims to give a basic foundation level. We have various levels and we are not exclusive for the best athletes or for the best younger players. We train players as a pool and players can and do move around according to the players and teams needs unlike in recreational soccer where rosters are locked. All players receive playing time but that playing time is discretional.

- Cost: $0 to attend training sessions
- U8 (2016, 2015) Monday Nights: Girls start at 6:00 pm and Boys start at 7:00 pm
- U10 (2014, 2013) Tuesday Nights: Girls start at 6:00 pm and Boys start at 7:00 pm

It will be an opportunity for kids and family that wish to pursue a more challenging along with dedicated player development structure. It will encourage players to challenge themself technically and introduction of tactical aspects of the game. Goal Is to still keep it fun for the kids learning how to dribble, trap, pass, and finish.
It will be $70 per season for registration.
Yes, can still play recreational.  But will fall in a lottery selection for team.
All home games will be played in Weatherford.  The away games will be based on teams within the bracket.  Most teams will be in OKC metro area.
It will fall at the discretion of the coach and team.  Most teams will train 2-3 times per week based on schedule availability.
It will be based on the team and coach agreement for coaches fees, tournaments, and extra events.
It will be based on team’s availability and if they can coordinate with common weekends of festival weekends.  Most games will be played on Saturday and/or Sunday.
Academy is a fantastic opportunity for younger players to build confidence in their technical part of the game in a fun learning environment.  Typically played in U7 to U10 teams.  Competitive can start their first opportunity of playing at U11 and older.  Competitive will utilize skills learned and add to the tactical parts of the game.
It will start in August and finish by December for the Fall season.  The spring will start by February and finish by May.
It will be at the discretion of the team along with coach. And coach will identify ideal tournaments that fit teams schedule.

COMPETITIVE (U12 - U19)

WSC COMPETITIVE

The objective of WSC Competitive Program is to provide a home for youth competitive players to play soccer at their highest potential level by allowing the players the opportunity to improve their technical ability, tactical knowledge, physical capabilities, and psychological awareness through training and game conditions. The WSC Professional Staff/Coaches will provide instruction, encouragement, challenge and praise to players in order to help them reach their highest level of play. WSC players are expected to have a high work rate, accept coaching, and have a belief in the importance of commitment to themselves, their team and WSC.

WSC FUTSAL (U4-U19) + ADULT LEAGUE

Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided soccer game that originates from South America in the 1930s. It is widely played across the world, and is the small sided football format that is officially recognized by both the U.S. Soccer Federation and F.I.F.A.

The nature of the game places a large emphasis on technical skill and ability in situations of high pressure, and is subsequently an excellent breeding ground for soccer competencies that can be translated into the soccer format of the game.

Many of the top world class soccer players played Futsal in their youth and credit it with supporting their development. Players of the caliber of Ronaldinho, Kaka, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo to name a few all played and enjoyed Futsal in their youth.

WSC PRIVATE TRAINING LESSONS

If you'd like your child to have some extra, personal guidance on their fundamentals, technique, position, or just basic soccer skills? We are currently building a network of Private Soccer Training providers that will be able to work on specific areas.

Every Private Training Provider will have background checks and will also run through our mandatory OSA Coaching Training requirements and will be vetted by WSC Administration.

With this being a newer program, we currently may not have a match for your child but are still taking requests so that we can keep up with all Private Training Requests and as providers sign up and are certified through our requirements, we will reach out with contact information and let you work out scheduling with your provider.

If you, or someone that you know, would be interested in being a Private Training Provider, please fill out the WSC Private Training Provider Form below and we will get in touch with you with what is needed and we will help coordinate and match you up with our training requests. This will be a paid position and will be a very rewarding opportunity for the growth of our young players.
