WSC RECREATIONAL
The Weatherford Soccer Club Recreational Program provides an opportunity for all girls and boys, ages 4-18 to experience the game of soccer by providing an organized, well structured, positive, & enjoyable experience! Working with coaches to focus on teaching about character, sportsmanship, fair play, team work, winning with humility, losing with dignity, & the value of doing their best every time they get together.
ACADEMY (U7 - U10)

WSC ACADEMY
WSC Academy is a program designed to develop young players and give them the tools needed to play soccer at a more advanced level than recreational soccer. It is a program that aims to develop players for competitive soccer and it aims to give a basic foundation level. We have various levels and we are not exclusive for the best athletes or for the best younger players. We train players as a pool and players can and do move around according to the players and teams needs unlike in recreational soccer where rosters are locked. All players receive playing time but that playing time is discretional.
- Start March 20th and end April 24th (2023)
- Cost: $0 to attend training sessions
- U8 (2016, 2015) Monday Nights: Girls start at 6:00 pm and Boys start at 7:00 pm
- U10 (2014, 2013) Tuesday Nights: Girls start at 6:00 pm and Boys start at 7:00 pm
COMPETITIVE (U12 - U19)

WSC COMPETITIVE
The objective of WSC Competitive Program is to provide a home for youth competitive players to play soccer at their highest potential level by allowing the players the opportunity to improve their technical ability, tactical knowledge, physical capabilities, and psychological awareness through training and game conditions. The WSC Professional Staff/Coaches will provide instruction, encouragement, challenge and praise to players in order to help them reach their highest level of play. WSC players are expected to have a high work rate, accept coaching, and have a belief in the importance of commitment to themselves, their team and WSC.
FUTSAL + FUTSAL SUPPLEMENTAL TRAINING

WSC FUTSAL (U4-U19) + ADULT LEAGUE
Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided soccer game that originates from South America in the 1930s. It is widely played across the world, and is the small sided football format that is officially recognized by both the U.S. Soccer Federation and F.I.F.A.
The nature of the game places a large emphasis on technical skill and ability in situations of high pressure, and is subsequently an excellent breeding ground for soccer competencies that can be translated into the soccer format of the game.
Many of the top world class soccer players played Futsal in their youth and credit it with supporting their development. Players of the caliber of Ronaldinho, Kaka, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo to name a few all played and enjoyed Futsal in their youth.

WSC FUTSAL SUPPLEMENTAL TRAINING
Focus: Player development, foot skills, speed and agility, learning the game of futsal
Training Times: Tentative days and times are Mondays or Tuesdays 5:30-6:30p or 6:30-7:30p and will start weekly on June 6 until end of summer league
Location: The new Weatherford Futsal Facility, 3800 N. Lyle, Weatherford, OK
Birth years: 2015 to 2003 (trainings will be grouped by similar age depending on number of attendees)
What to bring: Futsal ball, shin guards, water, and futsal or rubber sole shoes – NO CLEATS ALLOWED ON COURTS!
Cost: FREE! – with registration for Futsal League $45
(league starts after June 10)

Futsal Coach: Claudia Wright is the WSC Board Futsal Training Coordinator and has an extensive background in soccer as an alumni player from Oklahoma City University where her team was Reserve National Champions in 2001 and inducted into the OCU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2017, her competitive club team was 5-time Oklahoma state champions, and she has traveled throughout the US competing with the Olympic Development Program Oklahoma team. She is the former head soccer coach at Casady High School in Oklahoma City and has coached competitive and recreational youth soccer in Oklahoma over the past 10 years. She has three kids who play competitive and academy soccer and have competed on travel futsal teams in Oklahoma City.
